Four Things You Must Know To Be Sure of Eternal Life In Heaven

1. We are all sinners.

"For all have sinned and come short of the glory of God." (Romans 3:23)

Sin is breaking God's law. According to this verse, I am a sinner. Everyone in our church is a sinner. Everyone, including you too, is a sinner.

2. The penalty for sin is death.
|
"The wages of sin is death..." (Romans 6:23a)
|
Some people believe doing more good than bad will get them to heaven. Others believe a particular church will get you to heaven. This verse tells us that our sin earns us death in a place called Hell. Horrible to be sure, but the truth. But, good news...

3. Jesus paid the penalty for us.
|
"But God commendeth His love toward us in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us." (Romans 5:8)
|
Jesus is God the Son, He created the universe. He came to this earth, lived a perfect life and died on the cross to pay the debt you and I owe. He rose from the dead three days later with the debt paid in full.

4. We must accept His payment for us.
|
"The wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord." (Romans 6:23)

Believe in your heart that Jesus paid the debt for you and ask Him to save you from sin!
